呼吁结束叙利亚的苦难
三年前,联合国人道主义机构领导人向能够结束叙利亚冲突的那些人发出紧急呼吁。提倡尽一切努力挽救叙利亚人民。他们表示,苦难与杀戮“已经忍无可忍了”。

那是三年前的事情。

如今,残酷的战争几近上演第六个年头。杀戮不止,苦难加深。

所以今天,我们—人道主义组织和联合国机构领导人—不仅呼吁政府也呼吁大家—世界各地民众—声援敦促结束屠杀。敦促各方就停火与和平之道达成协议。

世界比以往任何时候都更需要一个同心一致的公众呼声,呼吁结束这种暴行。因为这场冲突及其后果触及我们所有人。

触及那些失去亲人与生计、被迫流离失所或生活在围攻绝望中的叙利亚人民。现今,叙利亚境内约有1350万人急需人道主义援助。而这不仅仅是一个统计数据。这1350万人的生活与未来都处于危险之中。

触及那些对于未来无从选择而踏上去异国寻求避难所的危险之旅的家庭。战争已促使460万人逃往邻国及更远地区。

触及这样一代儿童和青少年,他们的教育被剥夺并因历经恐怖而心灵受创,他们越来越多地看到自己的未来只被暴力笼罩着。

触及见识到危机的暴力影响侵及距其家园较近的街道、办公室和餐馆的叙利亚境外的那些人。

并触及冲突对其经济福利造成有形和无形影响的世界各地所有人。

能够停止苦难的那些人可以—并因此应当—立即采取行动。在达成结束战争的外交解决方案前,这些行动应包括:

- 畅通无阻地持续接触人道主义组织,从而立即救援叙利亚境内处于危难中的所有人;

- 人道主义暂停并无条件地监控停火,从而能够为平民提供食物和其他紧急援助、接种疫苗和其他医疗活动,以及让儿童能够重返校园;

- 停止对民用基本设施的摧毁—以便学校和医院及水源得以安全保存;

- 所有百姓行动自由并立即解除所有各方的全部围攻。 

这些都是实际行动。有志者,事竟成。

以大爱名义…为已深切遭受苦难的数百万无辜者…以及为生命与未来安危未定的数百万以上民众,我们呼吁即刻行动起来。
